Tất nhiên như hậu bản của nó Soul Seeker: Six Knights đã ra mắt trong thời gian trước thì Clegames Inc. vẫn đảm nhiệm việc phát hành của thương hiệu này.

Điểm đầu tiên cần nói đến trong Soul Seeker R chính là việc game sẽ có cải tiến để vượt qua cả bản gốc và hậu bản Six Knights của nó. Theo đó các nhân vật trong Soul Seeker R sẽ được thiết kế chi tiết và  phần tỉ lệ cơ thể sẽ được điều chỉnh để nhìn hợp lý hơn, lý do của việc này là Soul Seeker R đã hợp tác cùng Avabel Online để mang đến những cải tiến cho phần hình ảnh cũng như mượn một số nhân vật nổi tiếng trong Avabel Online về để người chơi thoải mái trải nghiệm.

Giao diện kỹ năng cũng có sự thay đổi để nhìn gọn mắt và hợp lý hơn trong bản mới, bên cạnh đó thì cơ chế Auto chung chung khi trước được chuyển thành Auto bình thường và chỉ Auto kỹ năng để bạn có nhiều lựa chọn hơn trong những game nhàn rỗi thế này. Ngoài ra là các hoạt động phụ khác như bang hội chiến, cường hóa vũ khí, mở khóa những hero mới cấp độ cao.

Về lối chơi thì Soul Seeker R vẫn trung thành với phong cách game nhập vai idle, trong đó game thủ sẽ được lựa chọn một đội hình của riêng mình bằng dàn nhân vật đa dạng ingame. Mỗi vị anh hùng này lại mang trong mình một khả năng và sức mạnh riêng biệt, game đánh bài đổi thưởng . Bạn có thể tự do sử dụng kỹ năng của chúng trong từng cảnh một hoặc hoàn toàn phó mặc chúng cho auto. Các tính năng quen thuộc khác như đội hình hay duyên phận cũng có sự góp mặt.

Có thể nói Soul Seeker R vẫn mang đến những giá trị cốt lỗi của dòng Soul Seeker khi trước đi kèm đó là cải tiến đáng giá về mặt hình ảnh để lối chơi trở nên mượt mà quyến rũ hơn. Nhưng ai đã từng mê mệt trong Soul Seeker khi trước có thể tìm lại cảm giác của mình bằng bản làm lại chất lượng này.
